"Mindshower" is an immersive and interactive light installation designed to connect viewers through both written and spoken words, provided by the audience themselves. A shower is a place where we feel most vulnerable and most exposed, both physically and mentally. It's a unique environment for reflection, offering a quiet space to process our thoughts and silence the noise in our minds.
As viewers step into the "shower of the mind," they are enveloped in an animated matrix of moving LED pixel text, which serves as the primary light source. The scrolling text, combined with a programmed delay in speed, creates a shower effect that viewers can walk through. During this immersive experience, recordings of people's "shower thoughts" play, acting as an anonymous public confessional. This space allows individuals to connect with one another's vulnerabilities, offering a chance to "break the noise" and share unspoken thoughts.

Festival goers are encouraged to walk in between the matrix, through the “shower” while hearing and reading all the confessions of people they have never met. "Mindshower" is a way for people to connect with one another, even though it is done anonymously. Connection doesn’t always have to be physical for individuals to recognize and relate to it. Additionally, it offers a way for people to step beyond their own experiences, fostering understanding and empathy for others. It establishes a distant connection, which serves as an analogy for the experiences we've had during social distancing.
