"My desire is to set up a situation to which I take you and let you see.
It becomes your experience."

James Turrell
I am an American-Lebanese lighting designer and light artist working at the intersection of light, temporary spaces and social unity. My practice spans live music lighting production, installations, interventions, as well as interior design for both private and public spaces.
Alongside my artistic work, I design and program lighting for live performance, with a focus in creating dynamic, responsive systems that enhance both the visual and emotional impact of a show. I am actively expanding my skills with industry-standard tools, such as grandMA3, while also seeking opportunities to apply these skills in real-world production environments.
My artistic approach for light art is influenced by the works of artists such as James Turrell, Dan Flavin, Yayoi Kusama, among others. I admire their use of light as a sculptural and immersive medium; and their exploration of depth, perception and repetition.
My interest in light began during my BA studies in Lebanon, where I first encountered Turrell’s work. This evolved through continued experimentation and research during my Master’s studies in Spain, where I began developing my own installations and working toward participation in international light festivals.
After moving to Seattle, I was introduced to live music production through my work as a stagehand. This experience led me to pursue lighting design as a way to combine my interest in music with my practice in light.
I am always open to collaboration across both artistic and production contexts, and I value working with others as a way to exchange ideas and build meaningful experiences. My aim is to create work that unfolds both visually and emotionally, allowing each audience member a unique and personal interpretation.
