An installation that explores the connection between the past, present, and future, emphasizing the significance of the present moment through immersive engagement. It invites viewers to reflect on their personal timelines, encouraging them to look back at the past and recognize that the future cannot exist without it. Each era relies on the others to give meaning and purpose.
"The past becomes your present if it's always on your mind", a verse from a song by The Japanese House, suggests that if you constantly think about your past, it starts to dominate your current thoughts and experiences. Even though the past is technically over, when you dwell on it frequently, it can shape how you live in the present moment.

In this installation, we create portals of time, representing how both the past (red portal) and the future (blue portal) are beyond our control—existing only in memory and possibility, never fully attainable in the present (purple platform). The purple platform connects the two portals and is the only space that can be physically accessed. The two portals reflect off one another, illustrating how our choices—whether to look back at the past or move forward into the future—are interconnected and influence one another.
Both the past and future can have a profound effect on how we experience and perceive our present lives, shaping our interactions, even though the past no longer physically exists and the future has not yet come to be. Ultimately, the installation serves as a reminder to focus on the present, encouraging us not to dwell on what we cannot control.
